An unfortunate event occurred on the night of this Tuesday, January 3, properly at kilometer 284; in it La Sardina Bridge, in the municipality of Nueva Guinea, in the South Caribbean.

The deadly traffic accident claimed the lives of two people, after a truck apparently presented mechanical damage; going backwards on a small slope and ending up at the bottom of a bridge in New Guinea.

In the truck was a family that had decided to move from the La Esperancita region; to build their new home in the vicinity of the La Sardina Community.

Daisy Martínez Vaquedano, 33 years old, from the La Esperanza Community and Omar Ramírez Jaime, from El Savalo, St. John River; are the two fatalities of this unfortunate traffic accident in New Guinea.

Via telephone, the Crónica TN8 team in the South Caribbean contacted the Mayor of Nueva Guinea, Claribel Castillo; who with great pain confirmed the event that occurred tonight.

“We are in the Jacinto Hernandez Primary Hospitalwhere we are giving accompaniment to the 5 brothers injured; As a result of this traffic accident, as the mayor’s office, we have taken the lead together with our fellow politicians.”

Deadly accident in New Guinea

The municipal mayor also said that through different facilities such as the National Police, Ministry of Health, among others, they attended the emergency when driving over the accident.

The Delta brand truck, license plates CT 13797, was driven by the citizen, who is only identified by the name of Adoniran; originating from the La Esperanza Community.

The coordinated work between government institutions guaranteed that the truck was removed; and the road was cleared so that vehicular traffic was normalized.

Adoniran Suárez, 40 years old, originally from the Municipality of Nueva Guinea, is wanted by the National Police; Well, after the fateful traffic accident, he fled, losing himself from the place.
