When Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Toni Schuck positioned her cruiser in an attempt to stop an accused drunk driver from reaching participants in the Skyway 10K, she said she was just doing her job.

Other people have since given the 47-year-old trooper a title for her bravery and rising above the call to service: a hero.

  1. I'm trying to understand just how drunk this maniac was. How does the US alcohol level work please? Here in the UK it's measured differently so, if you blow over 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath, 80 milligrams per 100 millilitres of blood or 107 milligrams per 100 millilitres of urine, you're too drunk to drive and will be prosecuted. How does 0.9 compare?
