A trooper stopped an alleged drunk driver with her own squad car. It happened in Florida where the State Highway Patrol says a car plowed through a series of roadblocks that were set up for a 10K race. Troopers say they sped after the car, fearing it might hurt runners in its path while other troopers used their cars to try and stop the vehicle. The suspect ended up crashing into one of those patrol cars almost head-on. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

That trooper risked their own life for the safety of others!!
She saved a lot of lives. Her patrol car was the last before the 8,000+ runners and 500 workers. The race had a lot fewer runners due to Covid. She said in an interview that she knew she was the last one before all those runners. Brave and badass thing to do..

The drunk tested to 3+ times the leagle limit of blood alcahol. In otherwords she was very drunk. So WHY say Alleged? She was PLASTERED! She was VERY DRUNK. No questions asked! And why only charged with serious injury? She should be cuarged with attempted murder!
It is called criminal Justice System because only crimials get justice!

The bond wasn’t close to being high enough. I have no mercy for drunk drivers. They kill thousands of innocent people due to their selfish stupidity. This could of cost many lives had she got to the bridge where the marathon runners were at.
She should face attempted murder. What would have happened if she didn't get stopped by that Trooper? Or if she killed that Trooper?

If this old drunk was black she would have been charged with assault on an officer, assault with a deadly weapon (a vehicle), attempted murder or manslaughter, and would be locked into a cell for life – probably rightly so, as she's way too old to be doing nonsense like this. She endangered everyone and is a danger to the herself, but because she's an old white woman she can be released on low bond? There is sadly no justice or consistency in these court systems.
On a positive note, the trooper is an absolute hero, that takes incredible bravery.
Alleged. Driver had a blood alcohol of .09 several hours later. She was plastered and should be locked away for attempted mass murder
I don't believe that was just a drunk driver. Broad daylight, speeding, crashed through barriers and headed straight into other vehicles, that requires the ability to think. She wasn't completely impaired.

Ok, maybe I'm seeing it wrong, but she was trying to get out of the way when the suspect car swerved toward her… she then stops thinking the vehicle would go around. After the collision, she screams out of shock that the vehicle actually hits her. Now trying to pretend she did it on purpose for the glory… don't believe me… slow the video down and carefully watch her vehicle…
Let's see how many idiots still want to 'defund the police'. Officers like this definitely weigh out the bad.
So much bravery and heroism in this single act! She could have easily lost her life. Glad she is doing well.
