The victim was walking on the road when he was struck by a vehicle.
A middle-aged man died last morning after being run over on the N-344 road, in the direction of Yecla, in the municipality of Jumilla, according to the 112 Emergency Coordination Center of the Region of Murcia.
The fatal accident occurred around five in the morning, when the 112 received several calls alerting the accident and reporting that the man was walking on the road when he was run over.
A patrol from the Local Police and another from the Civil Guard, a mobile emergency unit from the Management of Emergencies and Health Emergencies 061 and road maintenance workers moved to the place. When the toilets tried to attend to the victim, the man had already died.
