The Delaware State Police has released information about what happened and Ashley, the wife of Jay Briscoehas confirmed that his two daughters were involved in the accident and right now they are in critical condition.

The Delaware State Police report has released a report outlining the situation. Lillyanne Ternahana 27-year-old woman, entered the wrong lane and collided head-on with Jay Briscoe’s car, who was inside the vehicle with her 9 and 12-year-old daughters. Jay was not wearing a seatbelt, but his daughters were, something that could have saved their lives.

According to the police report, on January 17, 2023, at approximately 5:09 p.m., a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was traveling westbound on Laurel Road, just west of Goose Nest Road. At the same time, a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 was traveling east on Laurel Road in the same vicinity.

For unknown reasons, the driver of the Silverado 1500 did not stay in her lane, crossed the center line, and entered the eastbound lane of Laurel Road, directly into the path of the Silverado 2500. This resulted in a chead-on collision between the two trucks in the eastbound lane.

The driver of the Silverado 1500, identified as Lillyanne Ternahan, 27, of Frankford, Delaware, was wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the Silverado 2500, identified as Jamin Pugh (Jay Briscoe), 38, of Laurel, Delaware, was not wearing a seatbelt. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The two female passengers in Pugh’s truck, identified as his 12-year-old daughter and his 9-year-old daughter, were properly restrained. Both girls were taken by ambulance to a local hospital and were admitted in critical condition.


The involvement of alcohol in this accident is unknown.. There were no other vehicles involved in the collision. The road was closed for about four hours while the crash site was investigated and cleared.
