This last December 9 marked a decade since “La Diva de la banda” passed into eternity and mourned the entire Mexican music industry. Jenni Rivera, the performer and composer of regional Mexican and ranchera music, died from a plane crash when she was traveling after a performance in Monterrey. Next we will remember who traveled with the star.
The artist, a native of California, United States, began her career in the entertainment industry in 1992 and when her professional life was at its peak, she suffered this unfortunate accident. At 43 years old, Jenni left this life being the most important and best-selling female figure in the regional Mexican music genre.
Among her international achievements is being nominated for 4 Grammy Awards and having sold more than 25 million records between the US and Mexico.

THE DETAILS OF THE PLANE CRASH IN WHICH JENNI RIVERA DIED
The story goes that Rivera attended a show that he was supposed to offer in Monterrey, Nuevo León, on December 8, 2012. After the recital, Jenni and her work team took a private plane flight to Toluca.
The trip departed at 3:05 a.m. on December 9, and seven minutes after takeoff, communication with the aircraft’s radar was lost. At 4:40 a.m., the search and recovery protocols for the means of transport and its crew members.
In December 2014, the Mexican authorities closed the investigation into what happened to the plane. The director of Mexican civil aviation, Gilberto Gómez Meyer, stated that the results of the plane crash were inconclusive and were not able to determine the exact cause of the accident.
This scenario left more disputes for the owners of the plane, the Rivera estate, and the relatives of the people traveling with Rivera. They all ended up going to court.

A photograph uploaded from her official Instagram account this last Thursday – the account is still managed by her relatives – on the occasion of one more year after her death recalled who the celeb was traveling with on the fatal flight.
In the photograph -which quickly went viral- part of the crew of that remembered trip appears, along with Jenni Rivera were: her makeup artist Jacob Yebale, Arturo Rivera -the famous publicist-, her personal stylist Jorge “Gigi” Sánchez, her lawyer Mario Macías and the pilots of the plane Miguel Pérez and Alessandro Torres.
