The León Aguascalientes highway was opened after 12 hours of closure due to a carom-type accident that left four men dead and 13 injured.
The National Guard reported minutes before 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday that the road was completely cleared in its direction towards León, where the multiple collision occurred.

The accident occurred at 5:48 a.m. when a cargo truck was going at high speed and dragged a private truck. It also hit other units and cars, leaving four men dead, three of them of foreign nationality.
“In the mishap there were nine vehicles involved: four private vehicles, four tractor-trailers from companies of various kinds and a double trailer. The result was four men without life and 13 people injured, of which 7 were transferred to medical attention and 6 received medical attention at the scene of the accident,” reported the León Security Secretariat.
The bodies of the four men who died were raised by agents of the Guanajuato Prosecutor’s Office after the rescue efforts of the people who were pressed and that lasted until nine o’clock this Tuesday night.
In some cases, the recovery of bodies was complicated by the conditions in which the cars that were crashed ended up.
About the driver of the truck that caused the accident, no details were given or it was reported if he was arrested.
