A driver lost control of his truck at the height of an area known as the “Death Curve” causing an accident with a private unit in which a cheese merchant was who lost his life after the impact.

It was about 10 packages that had a weight of 8 kilograms each that carried a white powder that was presumably cocaine. This material was made available to the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR).

It should be noted that the driver who was carrying the packages was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, but was transferred as a detainee. Once he recovers he will be required by the corresponding authorities.

Also on Tuesday, September 13, it was announced that a judge had prosecuted eight Mexican and Ecuadorian drug traffickers who were arrested at the beginning of September near the Port of Chiapas. On that occasion almost two tons of cocaine were confiscated.

The insured persons were identified as Nery “T”, José “Q”, José “F”, Héctor “C”, Luis “F”, who are of Ecuadorian origin. While Vitaliano “G”, Leandro “H” and Omar “F” are of Mexican nationality. All of them were linked to the process for the crime against health in its form of possession for the purpose of introducing cocaine into the national territory.

In another event, this time in Sonora, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) incinerated more than 1 million fentanyl pills and almost three tons of various drugs such as heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana. These actions happened in Hermosillo.

Specifically, 148 kilos of fentanyl powder, 2,563 kilos of methamphetamine, 84 kilos of marijuana, 13 kilos of cocaine, one kilo 300 grams of heroin were burned at the scene. In addition, the authorities also disposed of 934 milliliters of liquid methamphetamine, 1,888 psychotropic pills, 89 liters of hydrocarbon mixture and 1,232,000 fentanyl pills.

The destroyed material was secured in different actions that took place in Sonora and was seized by elements of various institutions such as the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena), National Guard (GN), Secretary of the Navy (Semar) and the Municipal Police.

A few days ago, on September 7, after a chase, elements of the armed forces supported by police officers managed to arrest four people who were transporting 370 doses of different drugs. This illicit material was found in the trunk of a car.

Security personnel were able to see two individuals who were moving several packages with suspected drugs inside the trunk of a Toyota-type vehicle during the early hours of Tuesday, September 6.

Due to these actions, a call was made in order to apply a security review to the suspicious persons. Despite their attempt to escape, the authorities detained the four crew members.
