The Civil Guard is investigating a man who, after his vehicle collided head-on with a motorcycle, whose driver died, on the GR-3404, near the bridge known as the Vados bridge (Granada), left the scene of the accident and later tried unsuccessfully to report falsely stealing his vehicle, for which he also did not have a license.
The events occurred on the morning of July 16, when agents from the Traffic Subsector of the Civil Guard of Granada were required to instruct proceedings for a head-on collision between a passenger car and a motorcycle on the GR-3404 road, near the well-known Fords Bridge.
As a result of the accident, the motorcycle driver died, and the driver of the car involved left the scene on foot following the direction he was going.
The agents carried out the visual inspection at the scene of the accident and the necessary inquiries to try to locate the driver, and at that moment they were informed by the Santa Fe Civil Guard Post that a person wanted to file a complaint for the theft of the vehicle that was involved in the accident.
Thanks to citizen collaboration, images of the accident site came into the power of the agents moments after it occurred, and in them you can see the alleged driver leaving the scene of the accident, who also coincided with the person who wanted to file the complaint for theft, as well as with the documentation found inside the car.
For all these reasons, the Civil Guard proceeded to investigate the driver as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of reckless homicide, being absent from the scene of the accident and driving without a driver’s license, bringing him to justice.
