(NOTICIAS YA).- A road accident turned deadly last weekend in Englewood.
A 20-year-old man driving a car improperly caused a crash shortly after 8:30 am on Saturday, June 4, and then fled the scene.
The mishap happened around the 4400 block of Broadway. The officers assured that the car was traveling at high speed towards the south of the road when it hit a pedestrian, who lost his life.
The driver then crashed the vehicle into a brick building located at 4455 South Broadway.
According to the police report, the strong collision caused the vehicle to overturn and rest on its awning.
Two women were rescued from inside, who were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, while the driver, Edwin Solano, was seen fleeing the scene.

The next day, the man turned himself in to the authorities, who had already issued the arrest warrant.
Solano faces the following charges: failure to remain on scene, failure to provide information and/or assistance following a fatal accident, and failure to provide information and/or assistance following a serious bodily injury accident.
