HOMESTEAD, Fla. – A yellow tarp covered the body of a person on a south Miami-Dade County street Wednesday morning following a hit-and-run accident. Detectives remain on the hunt for the responsible driver.
Police officers responded about 6:45 a.m. near the intersection of Krome Avenue and Southwest 320th Street, also known as Mowry Drive, in Homestead.
Captain Fernando Morales, a spokesman for the Homestead Police Department, confirmed that a pedestrian was killed there.
Police officers ask anyone with information about the case to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
