This Saturday morning, circulation on the AP-7 has been especially complicated, with accumulated retentions of more than 30 kilometers, due to three accidents in Castellet i la Gornal, Granada del Penedès and Maçanet de la Selva, as reported by the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT).
The most important point with retentions has been in Maçanet (Girona) heading north, where around two in the afternoon there was a 20-kilometre caravan due to an accident.
A woman has died and two other people have been injured, one of them seriously, in a traffic accident recorded on the AP-7 motorway, at the height of Castellet i la Gornal, an accident that has forced the northbound road to be cut , causing up to 7 kilometers of stoppages towards Barcelona and another 3 kilometers towards Tarragona. The highway remained closed for several hours.
The Servei Català de Trànsit has reported that this accident took place at kilometer 205.7 of the motorway, around half past eight in the morning, in a section that was already registering retentions at that time as a result of a previous accident caused by a truck fire a kilometer further up.
At that point, after one in the afternoon, a lane to the north had been enabled and work is still being done on the removal of the vehicles involved in the incident, which causes about eight kilometers of retention.

In parallel, the Granada incident causes congestion of about 8.5 kilometers in the Tarragona direction. And the queues in Maçanet already exceed 14 kilometers in the direction of Girona. The Servei Català de Trànsit recommends the C-32 from Roca del Vallès as an alternative (via the C-60).
Also this Saturday morning, according to Trànsit, there have been retentions on the C-32 highway, in Mataró (Barcelona), in the direction of Girona; on the C-60, in Argentona (Barcelona), in the direction of Mataró; on the N-II, in Tordera (Girona); and on the GI-600, also in Tordera.
Another accident, which occurred this afternoon, keeps the T-710 road closed, in Falset (Tarragona), in the direction of Móra d’Ebre.
