After the brutal accident of the Mexico City Metro in which two trains collided between the Potrero and La Raza stations, the first reports gave one person as the only fatality. It was speculated that it could be the person who was driving in the cabin who received the full impact, later it was learned that it was a woman and finally her identity was revealed: Yaretzi Adriana Hernández Fragoso, a student of the Plastic Arts degree in the National Autonomous University of Mexico, only 25 years old.
It’s not that my dear Christian. Yaretzi Adriana Hernández Fragoso was my student just two years ago. She was studying plastic arts at UNAM. It is not possible that she lost her life in that totally foreseeable accident. I am full of pain.

This morning, funeral services were held at the Gayosso funeral home, attended by family, friends, teachers and colleagues to say goodbye to her for the last time. In an interview for El Universal, Estefanía Cruz Fragoso, the victim’s cousin, expressed that “she gave everyone a lot of light, she had a lot of people around her and all her friends loved her.”
