CENTRAL COAST, Calif. (KMUV-TV) A series of accidents claimed the lives of nine people in total this weekend on the Central Coast of California, in different events.
SAN BENITO COUNTY
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a 55-year-old mother and her three children, two twin girls and a boy, died after the Tesla they were traveling in collided with a trailer. at Hollister on Sunday night. Another deadly accident occurred in Hollister on Sunday, after a vehicle overturned and caught fire, CHP reported.

MONTEREY COUNTY
One person dead and one seriously injured left another crash on Highway 68 east of Spreckles Boulevard near Spreckles outside of Salinas.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a BMW car entered a lane and hit a Camry car, where the people who were victims in this crash were traveling.
The BMV driver, identified as Daniel John Wetle, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, after allegedly causing a crash that ended in tragedy.
At about 6:00 am Sunday, a pedestrian was killed when struck by a Honda Accord vehicle on southbound Highway 1 at the intersection with Springfield Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was struck by two more vehicles that did not stop. The driver of the Accord, who had hit him first, was the one who cooperated with authorities and called them after the accident.
On Monday in Seaside, another person lost his life. His vehicle flipped over on Highway 1 off of Lightfighter Drive. Authorities said the driver of a Huyndai lost control on a curve while speeding. According to CHP, the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
On Saturday, a hunter lost his life after his vehicle fell into a kind of ravine in southern Monterey County.
According to Cal Fire BEU, firefighters rescued the man from his jeep to take him to the hospital, but he died of his injuries.
