The accident occurred at 6:30 p.m. on the GI-636 at Juan Thalamas Labandibar street, between the Osinbiribil and Behobia roundabouts. The road has been closed to traffic in both directions for almost two and a half hours. Both health personnel and resources from the Ertzaintza have quickly moved to the scene of the accident. They have been treating the victim for more than half an hour but they have not been able to save her life given the seriousness of the injuries she suffered from the hit.

On April 15, a 54-year-old man died and another was slightly injured in an accident that occurred in the pedestrian crossing of the central Euskal Herria street in Ibarra. The fatal victim was IR, an ONCE vendor in a wheelchair who had a kiosk very close to where the tragic event took place.
