A 15-year-old boy lost an arm in a brutal subway incident late Monday morning as a train pulled away from a platform in Queens, police said.

Police and fire crews rushed to the subway station in Jackson Heights around 10:30 a.m. for reports of a possible amputation. There they found the boy on the platform with his arm severed near his elbow, according to one MTA worker.

  1. I only feel bad for those who were late to work because of this. Hopefully they all kept their jobs and were excused.

  2. I don't even like standing anywhere near the edge of the train platform. I always stay towards the wall. I couldn't even imagine wanting to do something like this. Smh it's too bad, I feel for the kid, hopefully he's learned his lesson and this will keep others from the same fate.

  4. I don't feel sorry for the kid. I do however feel sorry for the sanitation workers, police officers and all the people who needed to find another route to home/work because of these teenager actions. You cause issues for others and that's something I do not shed one ounce of pity for.

  6. The even sadder part is that my friend knows the kid and he is continuing to subway surf even after he lost one of his arms.
